I actually wrote this song in university in 2002 living in Leamington Spa! absolutely not one of the best times of my life, but this little song was on a very old EP that I would sell at shows.

I became friends with one of my all time favourite artists Beth Hirsch and gave her a CD, and when I was working on this EP around the Elton session, she messaged reminding me she loved the old demo of this, so I went back to the song and re-worked it into this extremely
dramatic electro-ballad version that exists now. It’s really wild thinking about how many times I sang this song at uni and then busking on the London underground!!
